Galvanizing hot-dip (HDG) ialah proses mencelup keluli buatan ke dalam cerek atau tong yang mengandungi zink cair. Proses ini sememangnya mudah yang memberikan kelebihan tersendiri berbanding kaedah perlindungan kakisan yang lain. Semasa keluli berada di dalam cerek, besi dalam keluli bertindak balas secara metalurgi dengan zink cair untuk membentuk salutan aloi terikat ketat yang memberikan perlindungan kakisan yang unggul kepada keluli.

The alloy layer blends with the pure zinc layer and the steel tube matrix.
