2.raw materials are from famous companies to guarantee the pipes uselife up to 30-50 years 3.can be directly buried underground 4.our pipes are strictly confirmed with the standard of GB/T29047-2012;We can also manufacture by customers request 5.specifications are range from DN25-1600mm |
1 _ A large diameter insulated steel pipe cames steam from the steam superheater to a
steam turbine in an electric power plant The pipe has an inside diameter of 0.49m: a wall
thickness of 0.06 m, an outside diameter of 0.61 m: and is covered Wlt_h C 15 m of calcium
silicate msulation_ The thermal conductivity of the Type 304 stainless steel pipe wall is
23 W (m•K) and the dlermal conductivity of the insulation is 0.12 W/(m-K). At the
location of interest: the steam is at an average temperature of 580 oc and moving at high
velocity: with a convective heat transfer coefficient: between the steam and inside pipe
wall: of 200 W (m2-K)_ On the outer surface ofthe insulation: with a breeze blowing, the
convective heat transfer coeffcient is 50 W/(m2-K) and the ambient air temperature is
21 oc_ The insulation is covered with a thin sheet of stamless steel, brightly polished to
minimize radiative heat transfer. Radiative transfer can therefore be neglected and the thin
steel sheet makes no significant contribution to the outside diameter of the insulation, nor
to conduction resistance
Insulation
Pipe insulation should be noncombustible. Where hot piping insulation can be
exposed to hydrocarbon leaks, it should be provided with metal weather jacketing
because oil soaked into the insulation can auto-ignite at linc temperatures as low as
175℃
All pipe insulation materials are flexible or semi-rigid except for those that are enclosed in a protective jacket. This makes them easy to install in tight locations. Depending on the material, the length of individual pieces may be 2 – 6 feet. These can be cut with a utility knife to the desired length. All materials can either be slit to fit over an existing pipe or come in two pieces.
Due to the low service temperature, polyethylene materials are fine for use in domestic hot water systems but should not be used where the boiler water is greater than 200°F. All other materials can withstand higher temperature.
